PreparationAs I meditated on the Names of God, and the pages from Prayer Portions, God called me to do a Jericho march around my house. For seven days I marched around my house. I started this whole experience with reading the Clean Hands, Pure Heart Inventory, and the Love Check-Up (from PP). Then, I prayed through the page, Praying on the Armor (PP). The last step of preparation was reading from the pages Lift High the Lord Your Banner and Tear Down the Enemy Banners. (PP) I would read about the enemy banners, and confess and renounce the sins associated with them on behalf of my whole family. (Jeremiah and Moses did it for a whole nation! God is looking for someone to stand in the gap!). Then, I would look up the scriptures for God's name that answered those needs. Before going out to march, I prayed for a song to hold in my heart. While the Israelites marched around Jericho, they were to keep silent, and the only sound was that of the trumpet. In my heart, I would sing praises to God for the name that was my victory banner that day. The MarchOn the seventh day, I arranged to have some time apart, to read through all the sections and names that I'd prayed over, and specifically declare God's victory in those areas. I spent time in worship and praise as songs flooded my soul with the remembrance of each verse and name. I was lifing God up as victorious in our family. Seven times around the house, and then, a shout! While I was walking those seven times, I asked the Lord for a verse to speak over the house in victory. After that, I sang a victory song. I have enclosed the studies that have come out of this time with the Lord, as well the pages from Prayer Portions (with permission). Through this, I have become very aware of the power in the covenant names of God. I pray that you will learn to run to Him and be safe. Whichever way you are led to do battle for your family, I pray that you are encouraged to just do it!
